How to reach the treetop walk via the Autobahns A 3 and A 92:
Coming from Munich on the A 92: At the Autobahn interchange Autobahnkreuz Deggendorf, follow the signage for Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald Rachel - Lusen, taking the exit for Passau. Coming from Nürnberg/Regensburg or from Passau on the A 3: Take exit 111 Hegersberg/Grafenau, then, shortly before Hengersberg, turn right in the direction of Grafenau and follow the signage Nationalpark on the B 533 to Grafenau, continuing to Neuschönau. About 0.5 km after Neuschönau, you will arrive at Parkplatz 1 and the access to the treetop walk.
Coming from the Czech Republic, it is easiest to reach the treetop walk via the border crossings Zelezna Ruda and Strazny. Coming from Prague, Pilsen and Klatovy, take the E50 to Pilsen. Then continue on the E53/S27 via Klatovy to Zelezna Ruda. Coming from Strakonice, Tabor, Pisek and Ceske Budejovice, go to the border crossing Strazny/Phillipsreuth. From here, simply follow the signs to Nationalpark Zentrum Lusen/Neuschönau. From Phillipsreuth and Spiegelau, there are also signs specifically for the treetop walk/Baumwipfelpfad in addition to those for the Nationalpark.
Travelling by public transport, the treetop walk/Baumwipfelfpad and the National Park Centre Lusen/Nationalparkzentrum Lusen are easy to reach from all directions.
